Prevention of lifestyle-related atherothrombotic diseases, such as myocardial infarction and stroke, is an important and urgent social task in many developed countries. Platelet activation plays a crucial role not only in haemostasis but also in the development of several serious arterial disorders. Platelet hypersensitivity is thought to be one of the many causal factors for the development of atherosclerosis and is caused by a number of factors such as stress, overweight, diabetes, smoking, polluted air and others.
Platelets are responsible for the ability of the blood to clot and thus stop bleeding when injured. Their shape is variable - they can be smooth and "calm" or bent and "activated". When they are calm, they easily pass through the blood vessels. In breaking the integrity of a blood vessel to stop bleeding, the platelets are activated, secrete "sticky" proteins and stick together with the walls of the blood vessels, forming a clot that protects us from blood loss. Clots can also form inside the blood vessels without injury and to form aggregation of platelets that block blood flow and dew.
There is a consensus that prophylactic inhibition of platelet activation helps to prevent a prothrombotic condition, slows the progression of atherosclerosis and reduces the risk of stroke and myocardial infarction. Limited evidence available in primary prevention studies suggests that the side effects of prophylactic regimens outweigh their benefits.
The prevalence of atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease in advanced countries, and the need to slow down the progression of these diseases, have exacerbated the impact of diet on the cardiovascular system. Epidemiological studies have provided irrefutable evidence of the causal role of inappropriate diet for the development and clinical outcome of thrombotic diseases.
Some nutrients have the potential to reduce the levels of specific risk factors for cardiovascular disease. It has been proven that many of the nutrients present in tomatoes are associated with proven effects on the cardiovascular system
system. There is much scientific evidence that lycopene, which is extracted from tomato, has a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system. At the same time, there is also evidence that lycopene promotes the development of cardiovascular disease. In this connection, it has been found that there are other compounds in tomatoes that have cardioprotective effects.
The product CARDIO PROTECT offers a unique combination of 100% natural nutrients that reduce platelet aggregation and thus reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
Fruitflow® is a water-soluble concentrate derived from jelly about tomato seeds, a patented lycopene free ingredient. The extract contains three broad ones
groups of bioactive substances based on nucleotides, simple phenols and
their conjugates and flavonoids and their conjugates.
Mechanistic studies have shown that the effect of 150 mg Fruitflow® is reduced to an average decrease in platelet aggregation of 8-23%.
Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, found in concentrated fish oil, reduce the risk of inflammation of the cardiovascular system, which contributes to reducing the risk of clot aggregation and thus reduces the risk of developing cardiac vascular diseases.
Purpose: The food supplement is used as a dietary supplement, which:
- helps maintain normal platelet aggregation, which contributes to good blood flow;
- contributes to the normal function of the heart.
